I went just to check out the pickleball courts. Looks like a busy place. I live about 45 mins away, and always trying to find courts that would be close to both friend who lives in VB and myself (I live in Suffolk). I didn't stop, just drove through

There’s 2 tennis courts in between the playground. The pavilion is good for a small party and there’s several bench seats. Though it’s next to Kempsville Rec Center, you’ll probably only get to use a port-a-potty if you’re not a rec member. Besides plenty of parking, there’s a spot for motorcycles and bike stand for bikes to get locked up. The baseball field is nearby.

Small playground rated for 5-12 years old. A few near interactive spots. A covered pic nice table. Baseball fields and tennis courts.

We can thank the park service for allowing people to have free outdoor tennis. the courts are very good , well kept and even have lights
